Parian Ware was my first love of 'something old' way back in the late 40's through my maternal Grandmother. The best book on the subject is 'The Parian Phenomenon' Pub.1989. now sadly out of print. I sometimes get copies though so please ask or see Unusual Books.

Continental Bisque (Biscuit Ware) Continental Pocelain Factories did not make Parian Ware, they continued to make Bisque or Biscuit Ware, which is much Whiter than Parian. Parian was made by mainly English/Scotish Factories, one Irish factory (Belleek), which glazed their Parian and the Bennington Factory in New England, North America. PARIAN WARE IS ALWAYS CREAMY OR IVORY-TINTED LIKE THE MARBLE FROM THE ISLE OF PAROS.
